Service Description

Here at WCCA we teach a bomb proof indication at target odor. We believe in using crystal clear communication to teach the dog what to do when they get to the source of target odor. This eliminates some natural behaviors like pawing, poking, checking in for more information etc and leaves less guessing for the handler and dog. During this course we will introduce you to Sporting Detection and focus on teaching your dog a calm and clear, indication to target odors, natural essential oils while building their drive to search. Your dog will gain commitment with duration while pinpointing the source of odor. All dogs will learn to work independently and our focus will be container searches. We will also work on handling and reading your dog. Maximum of 4 dogs per class Includes: A clicker and odor box. Please bring: ~ 6 foot leash, a flat buckle collar or harness ~ Tasty treats (must be soft and easy to chew) ~ kennel as dogs will be crated while waiting their turn ~ A hungry and motivated dog!
